Had to go to the Gynaecology Outpatients Clinic today. Had an internal and an Endometrial biopsy to eliminate the chance of uterine cancer. The Registrar is hopeful that it will turn out to be the Menopause though. With that in mind he has me on Oral Contraceptive pills three times a day :(

ION all is well with the rest of the family as far as I know - even Pirate's blood test show his Potassium levels are settling back down. Just have to wait for him to see the Renal department to check the kidneys to be absolutely sure all is fine in that area.

Potassium problems

Pirate has had a few problems lately with high potassium in the blood. Today his HF Nurse phoned to tell him to stay off the tablets he was taking that might be causing the problem. At the same time she told him that his Heart Specialist is going to refer him to a Kidney specialist as, with the proteinurea and the high potassium, it means there might be something wrong with his kidneys.

In other news all the children are doing well as far as we can tell but Elflady is not so good s her legs are worse (some of the blisters from the water retention have now become infected.

Oh and wishing both Enticing_thorn and Furiously Life Like good luck with their job hunting, as both of them 'might' have a new job in the new year. They are both waiting to hear yes or no from the interviews they had.

Long overdue

Family update :D

Elflady: not doing so good. Got nurses coming twice a week to do her leg dressings and keepan eye on any infections in the blisters.

Pirate: Loads and loads of medical appointments this month for various problems with his health. He is however slowly succeeding with trying to quit smoking (or at least cut down). He is now only buying about 2/3 packs a week instead of 6/7 a week :D *Is proud of his achievement*

Swampers and T : Currently moving into new flat that is both pet friendly and has plenty of storage space. It also looks like it's in a nice neighbourhood :D

Jesus: Currently travelling around again. Sri Lanka is part of this trip I believe :D

Reaper_monkey and Jewel: Still at different ends of the country but otherwise doing well.

Enticing_thorn and C: Not doing so well since C lost his job. Both of them are currently job hunting and I wish them the best with that considering the job market around here right now.

Furiously Life Like: The same as C except that he is also going through an unfair dismissal procedure. He also like Swampers has recently moved into a new flat with a very nice american lady (platonic relationship only).

Maddy: Definitely the cause of my hives!! Still not going to get rid of her though, she is so sweet with her idiosyncrasies :D She has a shoe fetish for one - if we go out and leave our footwear where she can reach it she will steal the right one and hide it on her bed! She also won't settle down when the fireworks are going off unless someone is in the room with her. Pirate had to come down the other night to keep her company and she promptly went to sleep and started snoring but as soon as he moved to come back upstairs she woke up!

Me: Having a few female problems that have made me severely anaemic and needing an ultrasound scan for fibroids. Hopefully all will be well soon and in the meantime Pirate has to keep reminding me to take my iron tablets :D

Been having a few 'female problems' lately and last Monday it got to the point that I needed a FBC test. This proved to be a good idea as it showed that I am (according to the doctor today) Severely Anaemic!! So now I am waiting on an ultra sound scan and taking iron tablets three times a day :(

Need to figure out how to get £200 to pay bills and buy shopping when the money left from this weeks pension is already spent :(

Anyone know how to get hold of £200 without stealing it? Anyone know how to refrain from killing husband just because he is being shitty without fags? Anyone know how to survive the recession?

Enticing_thorn has been taken to A&E by C!! Turns out she collapse from a severe head pain (possibly a really bad migraine) and when C called for advice the nurse sent an ambulance after hearing her symptoms. So far she has been given painkillers and is currently waiting to see a doctor. As I have no idea when that will be (there is a 3+ hour wait) or if there will be any test's /x-rays etc. I can only sit and worry a little. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is nothing seriously wrong with her.
