Hand In Hand (Forest Edge #1) by Alexis Wood 4*BLURB: In a world where shifters live secretly among humans, Ryan Crane, a hybrid-avian shifter who can’t shift, finds himself buried under a mountain of debt. When offered a unique opportunity to work, he signs on the dotted line. His new employer, Scion House, a matchmaking organization, pairs trained littles, like Ryan, with Daddies. After three failed contracts as a little, Ryan’s hopes are running low.
Number four seems promising at first. Eli Renard is gorgeous and kind, but when he inadvertently reveals his own shifter status, it sends Ryan into a tailspin. Would an alpha fox want a half-human crane? And when Jon, a coyote shifter and Eli’s ex, returns with co-parenting in mind, Ryan’s concerns double.
Ryan wants to complete the contract and pay off his loans, but two Daddies might be one too many.
Hand in Hand is the first book in the Forest Edge Series. The series builds on the prior books and should be read in order. Each story focuses on a new throuple or couple, with characters returning from previous books. The stories move quickly, ending in a satisfying HFN with their happy ever afters in sight.
BLURB: Can two become three, or is sharing one Daddy unthinkable?
Dylan Crane is on a mission. When he discovers his missing brother has found a home at Forest Edge, Dylan sets out to find him. He follows a similar path, training to be a little through Scion House, hoping to meet a Daddy who can help him locate Ryan.
Daddy Christian is perfect for Dylan, especially given Dylan's penchant for feminine clothing and makeup, and Christian's desire to dress him up. He offers his home and his heart, not realizing his housemate, Brian, wants Christian for himself.
Brian has been in love with Christian for forever. His chance slips through his fingers when Christian brings home a little, but Dylan sees beneath the surface to what Brian truly wants. Unbelievably, he offers to share.
Can two become three, or is sharing one Daddy unthinkable?
Side by Side is the second book in the Forest Edge Series. Each story focuses on a new throuple with characters returning from previous books, an overall story arc, and mates finding their Happy Ever After. The series builds on the prior books and is best read in order.
My Review: First of all, if you don't like MMM books, Daddy Kink, or Shifters then these aren't the books for you. However if you do like those themes then I highly recommend both of these.
I loved the world building and the characters in both of these books and look forward to reading #3 in November. I also hope that there will be more of that over arcing storyline as it's interesting and ties them together well. I did like that the storyline from the throuple in the first book was continued in book two without the main throuple being neglected. I always enjoy those kind of stories in a series that needs to be read in order.
One other thing I will say is at almost 200 pages per book it made for a nice few hours of escapism and if I hadn't been gifted the ARC of book 2 by the author I would have been buying it on Sunday (20th Sept.2020).
n.b. Look for a reminder post on Sunday about the book 2 release :D
