Recent Release Review of Rembrandt's Station by Christie Meierz

Rembrandt's Station (Exiles of the Drift #2) by Christie Meierz 5*

BLURB: Stationmaster and exiled aristocrat Albert St. John Rembrandt—Bertie to his friends—is in love with someone he's always believed he can't have, and finding out the hard way that some Tolari are as poisonous as their planet is only the beginning of his troubles. A ship has gone missing. His station is in crisis. Bertie must somehow recover his health and manage the disaster while trying to decide whether to accept genetic modification in order to be with the man he loves.

And no Rembrandt has ever taken a gen mod.

My Review: When I started this book I wasn't aware that it was both a spin off series, nor that it was book two in said series. However  that did not detract from an amazing Sci-Fi story by a new to me author.

The world building was great (about what I'd expect from a second series set in a familiar universe for the author) her character portrayal was excellent and the plot line was both interesting and easy to follow especially given that it was the second book. I am certainly going to go backwards in this series to read book one Farryn's War (to revisit this universe I will probably look into getting the previous series too).

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good Science Fiction story that is blended with intrigue, politics, romance, and action.
