Rare for me - Two M/F Romances Reviewed

The Enemy of Her Enemy by Kady Ellis 3*

BLURB: She has no one left to turn to except the mates she doesn’t want.

Andromeda, vampire princess of the Dianus Coven, doesn’t want a mate. To be honest, she doesn’t even want to be a princess. She’d be happy to spend her nights combing through old bookstores for forgotten grimoires—and avoiding days entirely.

But when the vampire Sanctuary is attacked and all the evidence points to her, she’s forced to flee to the last place she wants to visit—the Silverthorne pack house—to beg asylum from its Alpha, her unwanted mate.

And the traitor in the vampire coven isn’t willing to leave it at ‘out of sight, out of mind’. Soon, Andromeda finds herself being stalked by the most powerful vampire in existence, her rival heir Arsenious, who has been trapped in bloodlust for centuries.

None of them expects the powerful bonds that will form when they meet.

My Review: I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.  I have to admit that since I've been a widow I have not been as interested in M/F romances, but this one was good. It had a sweet instalove typical of werewolf romances and a decent plotline for something so short. I liked the main characters and the epilogue was a nice little bow on top finish to the storyline. Overall I'd say it was a pleasant return to M/F romances for me.

Summer Sizzle by Wendi Zwaduk DNF

BLURB: Sweet music on a summer night brings romance…even to a vampire?

Jenna Munro has loved music for as long as she can remember. Now she sings with an oldies group and lives her dream of stardom, even if she’s only famous in her small town. She isn’t looking for love, but when she meets Peter, her heart sings.

Peter Reynolds started his music career during the birth of rock with his band the Daydreamers. He knows good vocalists when he hears them and he’s drawn to Jenna. There’s only one problem—he’s a vampire and she’s very much human.

They’ve got the chance at love in the summer moonlight if they’re both willing to let the music sizzle…

My Review: I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.  It's a pity this one didn't hold my interest at all. I couldn't really get into the story at all. I am not sure why but given that  this is a new to me author it might just be that the writing style wasn't really to my taste. What I did manage to get through had an interesting stroy line but not enough of one to hold me.
