My Review: I reviewed book one of this last Tuesday and couldn't wait to read this follow up story. It was worth it too. I got more of the great characters and even more action and best of all it left me in a feel good mood. There were even a few surprises, that I hadn't expected, that still felt right within the parameters of the storyline. I am now officially a new fan of Chris T Kat's writing and will be investigating her fairly substantial backlist soonest.

My Review: I liked this story. The world building was well thought out and believable. The hero is a mouthy, no filters added, rule breaking kind of guy who still manages to get the job done and be promoted to a leadership position. The Alien allies are just different enough to be fun and the alien enemy are very much in the monster category. I won't give any of the plot away but I believe all the characters made this story work. The author has managed to add depth and quality to them that makes reading this book fun, plus there was the addition of interesting alien/human sex scenes.
