I HATE Cliffhangers!

So how did I become addicted to this series? And why am I so upset at having to wait until (maybe) August for book 5?

Hell & High Water (THIRDS #1) by Charlie Cochet 4*
Blood & Thunder (THIRDS #2) by Charlie Cochet 4*
Rack & Ruin (THIRDS #3) by Charlie Cochet 4*
Rise & Fall (THIRDS #4) by Charlie Cochet 4*

BLURB:
ThirdsHQ.com - With the panic and growing number of casualties both Human and Therian during the riots of the 1980s, it was clear something had to be done to ensure public safety, and offer an unbiased justice system for Therian citizens. After a new Therian legislation branch of the government was established, along with the implementation of Therian laws, officials answered the cries of its citizens for a new law enforcement agency equipped to handle Therian threats.
In 1990, the Therian-Human Intelligence, Recon, Defense, Squadron -or- the THIRDS, opened its doors, pairing every Human element within the organization with a Therian one, in the pursuit of justice for all species.

My Review: I won't review them individually ( Goodreads review for 1st book) but over the last month I have read all four currently published and think they are some of the best take on shifters ever. There are so many good things about the characters and the story lines that all I can say is. . . If you like detective/SWAT style stories with a paranormal twist then read these books and get hooked with me :D

Catching up.

I've been so-so about reading lately spending a lot of my time enjoying being back home with Maddy, that was one excited dog when I got back but now if I go out without her she behaves as if I was away for days again :D

So what about my book life you ask? Well I listened to:

Audio Book: Unthinkable: Tate Pack Series, Book 1 by: Vicktor Alexander Narrated by: Sean Crisden Narration: 5* Story: 4*
Plus a relistened to three other books.

I've also read about 11 books since the last update the best of which has to bet he one I finished today:

Hell & High Water (THIRDS #1) by Charlie Cochet 4*
BLURB: When homicide detective Dexter J. Daley’s testimony helps send his partner away for murder, the consequences—and the media frenzy—aren’t far behind. He soon finds himself sans boyfriend, sans friends, and, after an unpleasant encounter in a parking garage after the trial, he’s lucky he doesn’t find himself sans teeth. Dex fears he’ll get transferred from the Human Police Force’s Sixth Precinct, or worse, get dismissed. Instead, his adoptive father—a sergeant at the Therian-Human Intelligence Recon Defense Squadron otherwise known as the THIRDS—pulls a few strings, and Dex gets recruited as a Defense Agent.
Dex is determined to get his life back on track and eager to get started in his new job. But his first meeting with Team Leader Sloane Brodie, who also happens to be his new jaguar Therian partner, turns disastrous. When the team is called to investigate the murders of three HumaniTherian activists, it soon becomes clear to Dex that getting his partner and the rest of the tightknit team to accept him will be a lot harder than catching the killer—and every bit as dangerous.

My Review: This first book in a new series was so good I was delighted that I had listened to other readers and bought books two and three already. I can't wait to start the next one and read more about Dex, Sloane and all the others in the team.
This was a laugh out loud, and yet at the same time a sit on the edge of your seat, kind of book with plenty of action and humour well mixed with some really interesting characters. The concept is good and excellently done and I highly recommend it to anyone who isn't turned off by m/m interaction or humour and mayhem in their books.
