The bandages came off today and I can finally catch up on all the reviewing I put off through lack of finger control :D

My Review: Just could not stay interested in the book. This might have been because of my post operation hand trouble but I think it's more likely to have been the clichéd way the whole thing was written.

My Review: I liked this addition to Ward Of The Vampire and look forward to reading part three but, it did feel a little repetitive of part one at times. Loved the bit with the shoes though :D

Questor by L.S. Gibson 4*

However, when trying to land they find the planet is circled by an energy field which causes their vessel to crash.
Rescued and befriended by Rhiava, Jon and Manny learn the truth about the oppression of the Mideans. The Rhiava aren’t the simple people they first appear, having strong mental skills they call Gifts. Helping the Rhiava leader, a young female called Triena, to reach safety, Jon and Manny travel across the planet’s surface. During the dangerous journey Jon and Triena become close and she is devastated when he is captured and tortured by Midean forces. Jon refuses to disclose anything and though he is finally rescued with help from Triena’s Gift, he has been hardened by his ordeal.
The Questor eventually arrives at Rhiava having learned the truth about the Mideans. Knowing that if they assist the Rhiava against the Mideans and succeed they will receive all the supplies they need, Captain Sullivan decides to help. Triena reveals some of her people’s secrets to the Questor crew and together they plan an attack on the Midean base.

My Review: There was a wonderful sub plot of romance in this story and, if I had been reading it as a romance, I would have been very disappointed at the end. However as a Science Fiction story it pressed all the right buttons for me and I loved it. There were some wonderful surprises and the author has a lovely way with words that kept me reading long past the time my hand said stop.

A Boy and His Dawg by Zoe E. Whitten 3*
BLURB: Tobe White has been friends with Keith Moon since second grade, and he thinks his attraction to his best friend is one-sided until Keith confesses his feelings. Their budding relationship leads to Keith being disowned, but Keith has a much bigger problem. During a full moon Tobe is shocked when Keith transforms into a wolf and attacks him. Despite his fears of being in love with a monster, Tobe decides to help Keith come to terms with his unleashed animal side. Somehow the young lovers must find a way to keep up appearances at school and avoid exposing Keith to the police.
Just when everything seems to be working out, a new threat arrives from out of town, and these inhuman new bullies don't like wolves or gays. If Tobe doesn't think fast, both he and Keith may end up in shallow graves.
My Review: A short but sweet m/m romance about teens and a very different reason for teen angst. I enjoyed it and loved the way Tobe and Keith coped with all that life had thrown at them.

My Review Dennis Meredith has written a riveting tale that has all the thrills of a block buster movie. I loved the use of all the colour terms and the interesting reactions of the people who get turned. The action was not exactly non stop but certainly breathtaking when it occurred and the science was very believable and easy to understand in the way it was presented. I am adding this author to my list of good writers to follow after reading this one.

My Review: I haven't read any of the Love Bot stories but that didn't seem to matter as this was an easy to follow story. The main characters were wonderful and I loved the way they interacted. Especially the way they took turns caring for each other. Overall this was a very well written short story that was worth reading.

Gay as Mardi Gras by Lily Velden 4*

My Review: This was a lovely, amusing, short story that I really enjoyed reading. I wish I'd had a nan like Jesse as she was a woman I would love to have met. Outspoken and open minded! My only criticism was that the whole idea was a little far fetched but as a quick light hearted read it truly hit it's mark.

incapacitated for four days again!

Had my op today, spent all day at the hospital for 12 minutes of operation!Must now keep left hand elevated in sling for 4 days same as before. With no ereader that means no books either as I can't use the laptop with just one hand :( This means no reviews for a while, my apologies to those to whom I promised them and I'll try to get them all done soonest.

Pet Werewolves?

My review: From the author of the The Light of Epertase trilogy comes a page turning, thrilling read about Werewolves as pets. I loved every word and the way the way the plot twisted and turned was so riveting I actually ignored the fact that I was uncomfortable sitting reading it on my laptop!!

Another Beauty and The Beast story to love

My Review: I love remade Fairy Tales and this novella was a really nice version of my favourite one. In this case the story was a very warm, sweet one about believing in Love and your own self worth. The characters were very real, especially the cranky pregnant friend! (She made me think of myself when I was pregnant :D)and I really, really liked the Hero.

My Review: This was so different to what I have read before that it took me some time to decide what I thought of it. Armandine had me hooked from the first page and all the other characters leapt of the pages to fascinate and intrigue me. Even the odd gestural language used and the many pages of descriptions of trapeze acts was not enough to diminish my enjoyment of the story. Put it on your to buy list for June :D

Review of Alex In Wonderland by Jessica Freely4*

My Review: This was a short, sweet and very hot story about Alex and the worst (and best) day in his life. The things that go wrong for him are amusing and yet he can still be nice to others, I really liked him. Overall I think this story was good but I would have loved to read more about Alexand Sam.

Review of Dreams Of The Forgotten(Sumeria's Sons, #3)by Lexi Ander 5*

My Review: I have to say that I was enthralled at book 3 in this series. The way the author makes unlikely happenings see mso believable is incredible and I found myself staying up late just so that I could read it even though it is difficult to do so on my laptop. I can't wait for book 4 to be released next month!

Ready for a new dystopian heroine to cheer for?

Then you will love the new trilogy The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau. I just received a NetGalley preview of Book 1 and give it 5* (would give more but my rating is only up to 5* :D)

My Review: Some 'dystopian future' stories are really bad and make for a miserable read but this is not one of them. Even though the Earth has been devastated by 'The Seven Stages War' there is a hopeful feel to the story and the main character's ambitions to get to University and help the people of Earth improve their lives. Malencia is a powerful character within the pages and she dominates the book with her narration. That narration carries you through all the ups and downs of The Testing she goes through, and you feel like you are part of the stresses she endures.
I was sucked in by the story and didn't want to put it down for a minute. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel Independent Study.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome be damned

I still managed to read a paperback yesterday (damn internet broke down and the reader is truly kaput so I needed something to do).

My Review: I've read a number of ebooks by this author and always enjoyed the way she writes. In this one she has broken a few taboos (see publishers note above) and still managed to make it an enjoyable read that I couldn't put down. There is humour, tears and hot sex to be found throughout and I hope she goes back to this universe and follows up on some of the secondary characters. I for one would buy anything she wrote.

My Review: I rather enjoyed this one, even though it was a bit on the short side. I haven't read any of the previous books set in this universe but it turned out I didn't need to as it stood up very well on it's own. The characters were interesting and the action was just right. I enjoyed the fast pace of the story and just wish it had been a little longer and followed the main two characters after they learned to trust each other.

Fledgling (Theo Waitley, #1) (Liaden Universe #12)by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller 5*

My Review: I loved Theo, her parents and the cats, not forgetting all the other fascinating characters in this tale of a girl's coming of age. The contrast between the home place of Theo (rigidly matriarchal and scholastic) and the freedom Theo encounters on the ship are a major part of what made the story so interesting for me. I look forward to the continuation of this story in Salutations as soon as possible.

If I can manage to borrow my husband's ereader I might be able to read a few more books - if not there will be a hiatus on my reviews. :(

Some very quick reads

During reading the last book (Protocol 7) I read a lot of very short stories - mostly because the book kept bogging me down and I needed a break from it! So anyway, I decided that just because they were very short didn't mean they didn't deserve a review so here they are:

My Review: Eve Tesoro did a wonderful job of using all the prompts and produced a lovely m/m romance that was most endearing. I am adding this author to my list of writers to look for when looking for a sweet romantic read.

My Review: A fascinating story that was well executed and had some really great characters. I felt that it was a little bit short and would have loved more story but one can't have everything I guess :D

My Review: This was a NetGalley Review copy Ever read a book that sounded as it it was edge of the seat exciting only for it to turn out to be like wading through the quagmire? Well that's what this book was like. There were some really good parts and the characters were all very interesting but it kept getting bogged down by unnecessary stuff.

My Review: This was a NetGalley review copy The book didn't leave me on a cligghanger nor was I unsatisfied with the ending but some question were left at the end for me. Who are the Builders and why are they (maybe) helping humanity? Guess that means I'm ready for book two to find out. If you like traditional Science Fiction with mutants, unknown aliens and a really nasty bad guy then you will want to read this one.

My Review:Review copy from Penguin via Netgalley Book out May 7th 2013 I've not read a book by this author before but he is going on my auto buy list after this one! He writes characters that are so distinctive that even without any names you know which one is doing the narration. He also makes the situations so real that, like the characters, you don't know which one to trust. To top it off he gives the reader plenty of gut wrenching action and insight into the psyche of people in a war situation. If you've read The Host, I Am Number Four or Ender's Game you will probably like this one - I certainly did!

My Review: I've had this book in my To-Be-Read pile (or at least on my reader) for a long while now, and after reading it, I cannot understand what took me so long to get around to it. It was a fascinating story with well written characters. A very in depth relationship, with faults on both sides that needed to be overcome, made for an emotional and exhausting read.

My Review:Desperation, lack of hope, heroism and humour. It's all here in this latest book in John Ringo's Posleen War Series. I loved one of the main characters, Bun-bun, even though it's a Sheva gun not a person :D However all the people are so well written I actually felt as tired as they were whilst reading their exploits! Overall this was another great read for me.

Positively love Posleen War stories

My Review: Everyone knows by now that one of my favourite genres is Military Science Fiction and this author is one of the reasons why. He writes alien invasion and humans fighting back with a grittiness and realism that I adore. The heat of battle and the hopelessness of the humans comes across with every word. All his characters are written with a deep understanding of the psychology of war and it's affects on those trying to survive it. However he lightens up the gore and horror with touches of humour, that turn up at just the right time to relieve the tension the reader is experiencing. I just can't find anything negative to say about his Posleen war stories.

The Zenn Scarlett cover is absolutely beautiful!

My Review: I received this through NetGalley for review
I enjoyed the book and found the world building quite adequate. The alien animals were well described and the problems Zenn encountered trying to learn how to treat them was about what I would have expected. The sub plot of someone trying to sabotage the cloister should have been the main plot as it was much more interesting than following a trainee vet around every day! Aside from the excessive repeating and stilted dialogue, this was a fun read that was a little spoiled by the ending, which was a blatant hook to buy book two.

Great Science Fiction for Teens!

My Review A well written story, that had a taste of an old-fashioned Science Fiction superhero tale about it, a la Edgar Rice Burroughs or H Beam Piper. I enjoyed the fact that it was full of action and had well thought out science but was a little upset at the ending when Ron returns to Earth (won't say more as you need to read it yourselves).

The Planet Thieves by Dan Krokos 4*

My Review: I had the ARC of this from Net Galley. I just wish they had written books like this when I was a Teen as it was perfect reading for a YA (or a teen at heart like me!)The pace was racy and action packed, with so many twists to the story I was on a constant roller-coaster whilst reading it. I certainly couldn't put it down as it was so intense with well written characters and a plot that had me on the edge of my seat.

My Review I have read Diana Palmer's romances in the past but they don't hold a torch to this Science Fiction novel by her and I wish she would write more of them. She has a deft touch with aliens and their psychology and this story was especially intense with the conflict between the different alien races. The characters were memorable and made me want to read more about all of them, not just the main two. The whole story was exciting and dramatic and made me glad there were more books to follow.

My Review The story continues with the same main characters and their on going relationship causing more problems for everyone. The emotions were even more intense than in book one and I was delighted with the storyline's progression. I also felt for the new character (Mallory), who is brought in to take over from Ruszel, as she had so much trouble fitting in it was almost comical. Again I was driven to experience deep emotions whilst reading this.

Invictus (The Morcai Battalion #3)by Susan Kyle (aka Diana Palmer) 4*

My Review This was a satisfactory conclusion to the trilogy, even though it had a lot more romance in it than I expected. I love the big reveal about Ruszel's 'old fellow' at the end (even though I had more or less guessed it for myself). I also loved the trilogy as a whole and can see myself reading all three books often.

As good as the prequel

My Reveiw: As far as I am concerned the world building and the powerful imagery created by Steve Umstead was flawless.This was a lovely story with some really great twists and turns to it, along with wonderful characters and plenty of action, it was an experience not to be missed.

Dreamdancer by Chrystalla Thoma 4*

My Reveiw: I liked this story but felt it was more of a prequel for a longer one. As this was my first read by this author I will have to check her book list to see if there are any more from this wonderful world she created.

My Reveiw: This is a prequel to the Evan Gabriel Trilogy and it gives the reader a glimpse into Evan Gabriel's start as a Special Forces Soldier. As I am sure anyone who has read my reviews knows I love military Science Fiction and this one is almost as good as some of my favourite writers. I look forward to reading the Trilogy.

Could not finish!

My Review: Unfortunately this was not my kind of book even though the blurb seemed to say it was.
I know the main character is a journalist but I expected it to read less like a newspaper report of dry uninteresting facts than it actually did.

I've been lucky with my reading

Captive Prince Volume One by S U Pacat 5*

My Review: This was an online read that has since been released as an ebook. It is a good read that is a part one so has an open ending that is not a cliff hanger. I was captivated by the characters and storyline. Even the world building was so good I felt I was there with them.

My Review:I found out that this was again an open ending that didn't actually leave me feeling as if I was in a cliff hanger situation. Again the characters and storyline sparkled and kept me intrigued to the very last word.

Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs 5*

My Review: To quote Charlaine Harris from the front cover "I love these books". If Urban Fantasy comes any better than this I want to know who I should add to my autobuy list! Patricia Briggs drags you so deep into her characters lives it is a physical wrench to reach the end of the story.

Review of Stargazer Collection

My Review: Whilst the five stories were very good I did find the main characters in them a little too quick at falling in love with each other. I also felt that the storylines were more like a framework for the author to hang the sex scenes on than adventures in their own right.

My Review: A lovely story about the bond between a 'pet' & it's owner. I was a little surprised that the religious aspects didn't disturb me as I am not a very religious person, I think it was because it was such an integral part of Freedom's character. I know it was not intrusive nor did it attempt to convert the reader which is how it should be. I really admired the courage and fortitude of Freedom, she was a very special character. Mind you I have to admit to loving Azrael the Space Wolf best, he was a very, very special animal.


Reborn In Amber (A Bloodsworn Tale) by Kathy Lane 5*

Review of Dragon Call?

Cora swears it's a mistake. Her mother swears it's the correct course of events. Eventually, every Dragonkeeper issues the call to mate. Problem is, nobody expected Cora to summon even a single dragon, let alone two. Before long, the dragons' guardians come knocking, literally, and ruin any hope of politely apologizing and returning the creatures.
My Review: I sort of liked it, especially as it was about dragons, but it is very much part one of a longer story. Also the Heroine really needed to chill! Yet another good story spoilt by having a cliff hanger ending!
n.b. I couldn't find the original title I have on my reader - seems it has now been changed to Mating Call (Dragon Queen #1) which would have been a good warning for me about the series nature of the story!!

My Review: An unusual story that kept me engrossed to the last page. I did however feel as if the story was a little unfinished (and as yet there is no Humble Walker book 2). Some questions I have about Humble and Kat are still unanswered.

Review of The Alien War Anthology by Kyle Pratt 4*

My Review: Three short stories from my favourite sub genre - military science fiction. All of them were well written, individually interesting and the last one was most poignant. The characters were well written with a real understanding of the mind set of military people.

My Review: Even though I spend only three hours a day online this story was well worth the time spent reading it. The depth of world building and character portrayal was excellent and I wished many a time that I could have read it on my reader so that I didn't have to keep stopping.

Review of Apocalypsis 1: Kahayatle by Elle Carson 4*
BLURB:Apocalypsis is a 3-book series, YA Science Fiction/Action Adventure. Book 1 is called Kahayatle. The series features a post-apocalyptic world where only teens have survived, providing the background for main character Bryn Mathis, a young girl with only her wits and krav maga martial arts skills to help her survive. She hooks up with a neighbour and a German exchange student and makes her way from Orlando, Florida down to the one place she thinks she might be safe from the roaming gangs of kids who will do anything and eat anything to survive.
My Review: This was marketed as YA which was doing it a disservice. I believe that this would appeal to a much wider readership. My only complaints are of a personal nature. Firstly I was left wondering why only the 10 -20 year olds survived and how the people knew it was going to happen ahead of the event. Secondly it ended on a minor cliff hanger!

My Review:This was a review ARC from the author in return for an honest review.
I found the conversational style of narrative quite pleasant. It was as if a good friend was just bringing me up to date with her life since we'd last been together. The actual story was an interesting one that left the way open for the author to carry it forward without leaving the reader hanging.

My Review: Another time travelling trip on Pern. This time we get to know the people and dragons from an unconventional Weyr with a female blue dragon rider leading the way forward. The numerous problems they face lead to a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Have a tissue or two handy.

My Review: What can I say about this book that won't sound overly gushing? Well I can tell you it's one of the best mind power stories I have read in a long time. The concept and execution were both new and fresh and I hope the following books continue this excellent start to the Mindjacker series.

My Review: This was a prize won in a competion Even though I haven't read the previous three books I had no problems jumping into the series. I enjoyed the three couples featured in this book and I'm definitely going to get the others to find out more about the relationships touched on in this one

My Review: As I mentioned previously I love anything Pern so I was predisposed to enjoy this book. The story is a direct follow on from Dragongirl and I wouldn't recommend reading it as a stand-alone. The Timing gets a little confusing if, like me, you are a fast reader but the logic is there. I look forward to reading Sky Dragons when my husband finishes with it.

Claimings, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts by Lyn Gala 4*

My Review: I was sorry that this wasn't a longer story as the author did a wonderful job creating a believable alien culture and physiology. The interaction between the main characters was well written and rang true to how I believe an alien and a human would feel in these circumstances.

My Review: I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review so here it is: I loved the way the story opened straight into action and the way the author wove in all the background on the characters without detracting from what was happening. This was obviously part of a series and I will be looking for Madison's story to find out how she copes with the changes caused at the end of the story.

The Stable Boy by Megan Derr 3*

My Review: This is a free story written for the Sandy Relief Auction. Another clever m/m twist on a Fairytale. This one was based on The Goose Girl and was very close to that storyline. It was perfect as a sweet, short read.

Salome at Sunrise by Inez Kelley 4*

My Review: The magic of this story is created by the ability of the author to make the reader believe in a living spell. I was pulled into the problems and anguish of Bryton's fight against the evil that took his wife and his guilt at his growing feelings for Salome. By the end of the story I was emotionally drained but happy.

Review of Dragongirl by Todd J McCaffrey 4*

My Review: Todd has taken his mother's invention of Pern and her Dragons and brought another exciting episode to life. We meet up with lots of characters from previous Pern books and learn a bit more about timing and the problems of running a Weyr. It's not the best Pern novel but, for someone who can never get enough of Pern, this is a great addition to the bookshelf.

My Review: A psychic story with a very down to earth heroine. I liked that she was not portrayed as a predictive psychic as that made it so different from the normal type of psychic story. The touch of romance and danger added a little spice to it, to make this an enjoyable start to what might be a decent series.

My Review: A strange, yet compelling, story that mostly had me scratching my head in puzzlement. I think I could have done with less ambiguity and confusion even though it was well written and had plenty of action.

My Review: I really liked how the relationship between Axton & Leander grew slowly but steadily over the time they were together. The end had a pleasant hopeful feel, that also left an opening for more if the author wanted to extend on it, without it actually making it unfinished. Overall I felt warm and happy when I was finished.

Must slow down my reading?

My Review: Another wonderful military adventure by Mr Drake. This one was full of twists and turns and as action packed as I could have hoped for. Mr Leary is becoming as interesting to read about as Honor Harrington or Miles Vorkosigan, my all time favourite heroes of space adventures.


Unlawful by Jessica Freely 5*

My Review: I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, so here it is:
This is a companion story to His Own Devices but you don't need to have read it to enjoy this story. For such a short story Unlawful was packed full of excellent world building and a very hot storyline. The main couple are fully rounded individuals and the fast relationship actually makes sense within the context of the storyline. It truly deserves all the praise I've read about it.

Two great stories by Eden Winters

Review of The Telling by Eden Winters 5*

My Review: I was surprised at how well the author portrayed the main character's problems with PTSD without detracting from the romance. The way Jay cared for Michael and coped with the flashbacks was done with great sensitivity. Overall this was a story well worth reading.

My Review: I love Beauty & the Beast stories and, for a short m/m tale, this one managed to be both full and truly sweet. My only complaint is that we don't find out more about Shawn.

My Review: Although set in the vastly popular Liaden Universe this story can be read with absolutely no previous knowledge of it needed. A wonderfully clever result that makes for an enjoyable half hour read. I especially liked the happy ending.


Callum of Drakkar Coven by Leigh Jarret 5*
BLURB:Laramie had grown up listening to stories regaling Lord Callum's strength and beauty, but also warning of his ferocity and bloodlust. But was it true? Were Lord Callum and his brothers really vampires? Laramie's first glimpse of Lord Callum set his heart racing, partially out of fear, but mostly out of fascination and Lord Callum took note of that, pleased to have found his next plaything.
My Review: This is an unusual vampire story that doesn't flinch from portraying vampires as bloodthirsty monsters yet still managed to make me feel sympathetic towards the main character. I am going to have to look for more Drakker Coven books to find out what happens next and if the nasty vampire gets his come uppance.

With The Lightnings by David Drake 4*

My Review: I love military Science Fiction and have read collaborations by this author in the past so decided to try one by him alone. I was very pleased with my decision as this turned out to be an action packed adventure with wonderful characters.

My Review: I haven't read all the previous books in this series but it didn't spoil my enjoyment one bit. The story is almost a stand alone, with just enough mention of previous characters and storylines to enhance rather than detract. The interaction between Will and Garrick is dominant and makes the story well worth reading.

My Review: I would have given 5* to this story if it hadn't finished with a small cliff hanger (just a personal pet hate of mine). On the whole I loved the clever use of Lycan myths as the background to a wonderful story about a m/m romance liberally spiced with magic. Look forward to book two.

Holden & Yves -The Early Years by Maculategiraffe 5*

My Review:This is a prequel to Bran's story about two of the main characters. It was a lovely story that managed to fill in background but still felt fresh and interesting.

My Review: Having enjoyed both of the previous books by this author I was looking forward to this one and I was not disappointed. I'm just a little surprised not to find these stories professionally published.

Lee's Story (Slave Breakers #3) by Maculategiraffe 5*
BLURB:Bran returns to his old master but this time it is to retrieved yet another slave that is being sold to the "slave breakers". Returning to his former home, even for such a short period of time, has its effects on Bran as does Lee, his master's new acquisition.
My Review:I firmly believe these Slave Breakers books have improved with each new book. Not only was this the longest story but it was also the best and if I were to give more than 5* this one would get it just for the clever ending.

The Thirteenth Passenger by Sally Quilford 3*
BLURB: Mars born space cowboy, Jack Deimos, is taking a cargo to Mars when he finds a pretty stowaway amongst the few passengers he agrees to carry in the cryo-chambers. Mara Athena wants to know why her father died on a previous trip to Mars and she intends to get the answer from Jack. But Mara isn't the only stowaway on the spaceship Obama. There's a thirteenth passenger, and it's intent on killing everyone.
My Review: For a novel written in one month and using multiple weird and wonderful Plot Ninja's and conceived as a bit of a joke this was a reasonably good story. A nice story that would probably been much better if not written under NaNoWriMo restrictions.

My, My, Little Firefly by Dillon Fox 0*

My Review: I liked the blurb to this but was bitterly disappointed with the actual story. I felt as if either the author or I had been high on drugs and I only take prescription drugs for asthma!

Me, Myself & I by Natasha DuncanDrake 3*
BLURB:Tristan is an actor and he plays a supervillain in the movies. At least he thought he did, but then he has an accident and he wakes up surrounded by the world of the films. Now he has to figure out if he's hallucinating, if somehow the movies are real and he's been transplanted to another world or if he is actually Devon, a supervillain having a psychotic break. Whatever the answer: it's frighteningly crazy.
My Review: A clever little story about an actor who ends up falling for his film character in an alternate universe, or did he?

Chains by Rowan McBride 4*

My Review: A short and interesting tale that could have been improved with more story. Hope the author intends to extend it one day.

Between Two World by Chris Lewis 5*

It is just a front, however, as he and all who work there are refugees from Agharta, a vast realm near the center of the earth. To punish citizens for various offenses, it consigns them to death by expelling them into cavern systems near the planet’s surface. Over time, the refugees created Tsavans: subterranean communities between Agharta at the planet’s heart, and Prithav, the world’s surface. These Tsavans have infiltrated surface governments to make life more livable for themselves. Some dwell on the surface among ordinary people, watched and protected over by the Enforcers.
When an Aghartan is found dead on the surface, Christian is assigned to the case. But as more surface-dwelling Aghartans die, Christian realizes that there could be a serial killer among his people. The truth, however, is more terrible than his worst suspicions.
My Review: This was a lovely story that worked well as a very clever suspense but the m/m Romance didn't quite do it for me. I hope the author intends to write more from this world that he created, especially if it's without the romance.
